Rockford Postal Employees Credit Union (now LinXus Credit Union) was established in 1927 to serve employees of the Rockford Area Postal Services. Membership was then expanded to include immediate family members of Postal Workers, and Credit Union employees and their immediate family members.

The Credit Union was originally housed in the home of a board member. Eventually more office space was needed and the credit union moved inside the Main Post Office in Rockford, IL. Along with more products and services came the need for additional hours, employees and space. In 1999, the Credit Union moved to Loves Park, IL. In 2014, we moved to our current location in Machesney Park, IL so we could offer more services to our members. In 2017, Rockford Postal Employees Credit Union became a Community Credit Union. We are still chartered for Postal Employees working in 610 & 611 zip codes. We have added those who live or work in Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, & Stephenson Counties! Along with the Community Charter we changed our name to LinXus Credit Union. As we continue to grow, this does not change who we are or how we do business!
